충청남도천안교육지원청 성환도서관이 배움의 열정을 이어가는 어르신들에게 교실 밖 다채로운 문화 경험과 소통의 장을 선물했다. 성환도서관은 4일 초등학력인정 2단계 과정을 수강 중인 어르신 학습자 14명을 대상으로 현장체험학습을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 현장체험학습은 교과 수업 중심의 일상에서 벗어나 다양한 문화 활동을 접하고, 학습자 간 친목을 다지는 한편 배움에 대한 성취감과 학습 동기를 북돋우기 위해 마련했다. 어르신들은 충남 문예회관 일원에서 열린 ‘충청남도 문해교육 한마당’에 참석해 다채로운 체험 부스를 참관하고 시화 작품과 축하 공연을 감상하며 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈다.

특히 이날 열린 ‘2026 충남 문해교육 시화전’에서는 성환도서관 문해교육 수강생 손금순 씨의 출품작 ‘첫사랑과 마지막 사랑’이 충청남도평생교육진흥원장상을 거머쥐며 현장의 기쁨을 더했다. 배움의 결실로 만들어낸 시화 작품이 우수한 평가를 받아 수상으로 이어지면서 함께한 동료 학습자들에게도 큰 격려와 감동을 선사했다.

성환도서관은 어르신들이 배움의 기쁨을 바탕으로 지속적인 학습과 성장을 이어갈 수 있도록 현장 중심의 체험 프로그램과 맞춤형 문해교육 지원을 지속해 나갈 방침이다.

성환도서관 관계자는 “이번 현장체험학습이 어르신들에게 소중한 추억이자 배움의 즐거움을 실감하는 계기가 되었길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 문해교육 학습자들이 배움을 통해 삶의 활력을 찾고 새로운 도전을 이어갈 수 있도록 체험과 학습 기회를 적극적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
