충청남도가 내년도 정부 예산 목표액인 13조 5,000억 원 달성을 위해 여당인 더불어민주당 지도부와 머리를 맞대고 국회 예산 심의 과정에서의 증액에 총력을 기울이기로 했다. 충남도는 4일 도청 대회의실에서 더불어민주당과 예산정책협의회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 협의회에는 박수현 충남도지사와 조철기 도의회 의장을 비롯해 더불어민주당 김민석 당대표, 한병도 원내대표, 권칠승 정책위의장, 지역 국회의원 및 도 실·국원장 등 40여 명이 참석해 충남의 핵심 현안을 긴밀히 논의했다.

이 자리에서 도는 국립역사문화권진흥원 설립, 충남권 AX 대전환, 충남권 국립호국원 조성, 서해선~경부고속선(KTX) 연결, 충남혁신도시 복합혁신센터 건립, 대산~당진 및 세종~안성 고속도로 건설 등 충남의 미래 미래 성장동력이 될 10대 핵심 사업을 제시하며 국회 심의 과정에서의 반영을 강력히 요청했다.

현재 내년도 정부예산안에는 충남 관련 예산이 올해보다 7.6% 증가한 13조 2,632억 원 반영되어 있으나, 도의 최종 목표액인 13조 5,000억 원을 달성하기 위해서는 국회 심의 단계에서 2,368억 원의 추가 확보가 필수적인 상황이다.
