전시·행사 공동 기획, 실무협의회 가동으로 상시 소통…ESG 경영 혁신 도모

협약 기념해 산림청 제공 나무 세종호수공원에 직접 식재…첫 결실 맺어

세종특별자치시시설관리공단(이하 공단)이 대한민국 행정수도 세종을 언제 어디서나 푸른 녹지와 꽃을 마주할 수 있는 품격 있는 정원도시로 탈바꿈하기 위해 국립세종수목원과 유기적인 동맹을 맺었다.

공단은 2일 국립세종수목원(원장 강신구)과 정원도시 조성 및 양 기관의 동반 성장을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 전격 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 세종시민들이 도심 속 일상 어디에서나 울창한 녹색문화공간을 자연스럽게 누릴 수 있도록 해 도심 전역을 하나의 거대한 정원으로 가꾸어 가겠다는 양 기관의 공통된 비전이 맞닿아 성사됐다.

이에 따라 양 기관은 긴밀한 파트너십을 바탕으로 세종시의 고품격 녹색 힐링 인프라 구축에 나선다. 

협약서에 담긴 구체적인 협력 분야는 '녹색문화공간 조성을 통한 시민 이용 편의 극대화, 양질의 전시·문화 행사 등 다채로운 프로그램 공동 기획 및 개최를 통한 고객 서비스 품질 향상, 기관 운영 혁신과 핵심 사업 수행을 위한 유기적인 상호 정보 공유, 지속 가능한 미래를 위한 ESG 경영 사업 공동 추진' 등이다.

특히 양 기관은 형식적인 협약에 그치지 않고 실질적인 행정 시너지를 창출하기 위해 정기적인 실무협의회를 구성해 상설 가동하기로 약속했다. 

실무협의회를 통해 상시 소통 체계를 긴밀히 구축하고, 세종시민들이 삶의 현장에서 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 볼거리와 즐길거리를 치열하게 논의하여 세부적인 협력 사업들을 지속해서 발굴 및 구체화해 나갈 방침이다.

한편, 공단은 협약의 숭고한 취지를 널리 알리고 상생 협력의 이정표를 세우기 위해 협약식 직후 기념 수목 식재 행사를 전개했다. 끊임없이 도약하는 세종시의 성장 속도에 발맞추어, 양 기관이 함께 단단하게 뿌리내리고 성장해 나가자는 깊은 뜻을 담았다.

기념 식재에 활용된 수목은 산림청과 국립세종수목원으로부터 직접 기증받았으며, 공단이 관리·운영 중인 세종시의 대표 랜드마크인 세종호수공원에 일 정성껏 심어 양 기관의 아름다운 동행을 알리는 첫 번째 결실의 의미를 더했다.
