문체부 주최 ‘2026 공공디자인 컨설팅’ 최종 선정…총 1억 5천만 원 규모 전문 지원 확보

세종시 내 실내체육시설 2개소 대상 ‘안전 공간디자인 설계 및 가이드라인 구축’ 추진

세종특별자치시시설관리공단(이하 공단)이 문화체육관광부 공모 사업을 확보하며 전국에서 가장 안전하고 직관적인 실내체육시설 공공디자인 표준 모델 구축에 나선다.

공단은 문화체육관광부가 주최하고 한국공예·디자인문화진흥원(KCDF, 이하 진흥원)이 주관하는 ‘2026년 공공디자인 컨설팅’ 지원사업 공모에 최종 선정됐다고 2일 밝혔다.

전국 중앙부처와 지방자치단체, 공공기관 등이 치열한 경합을 벌인 이번 공모에서는 세종시설공단을 포함해 최종 6개 기관만이 국비 지원 과제로 이름을 올렸다. 

공단이 확보한 이번 공모 과제는 총 1억 5,000만 원 규모의 전문 기술 지원을 바탕으로 진행된다. 공단은 관내에서 운영 중인 실내체육시설 5개소 중 2개소를 시범 대상지로 선정해 ‘안전 공간디자인 설계 및 가이드라인 구축’ 사업을 전격 추진할 방침이다.

본 과제의 핵심 지향점은 시설을 이용하는 세종시민들이 일상에서 피부로 체감할 수 있는 ‘안전 중심의 생활체육 환경’을 조성하는 데 있다. 공단은 기존에 개발된 유니버설 디자인(Universal Design)과 정부 표준 색채, 공공디자인 표준형 가이드 등을 현장에 적극적으로 이식할 예정이다. 

이를 통해 연령이나 신체 조건에 상관없이 남녀노소 누구나 시각적으로 위험 요소를 직관적으로 인지하고 안전하게 이용할 수 있는 최적의 공간 디자인을 진흥원의 전문 컨설팅단과 협력해 도출해 낸다는 구상이다.

특히 이번 프로젝트는 단순한 평면 설계 수준에 그치지 않고, 현장 이용자들의 실질적인 체감도를 극대화하기 위해 다양한 첨단 소재와 맞춤형 색채를 적용한 프로토타입(시범 제작물) 디자인까지 직접 구상한다. 

이렇게 도출된 혁신 결과물은 향후 세종시가 추가로 개발하고 건립할 예정인 모든 공공 체육시설에 전방위적으로 도입될 수 있도록 세종시와도 긴밀히 공조할 계획이다.

나아가 공단은 진흥원, 세종시체육회, 각 종목별 가맹 단체(협회 및 클럽) 등 실제 체육 현장의 전문가들과 손잡고 철저한 현장 테스트와 실증 검증 조사를 거칠 예정이다. 

검증이 완료된 고품격 디자인을 바탕으로 새로운 생활체육시설의 공공디자인 가이드라인과 표준 매뉴얼을 정립하고, 이를 대한민국 전체 실내체육시설로 확산·적용할 수 있도록 ‘전국 표준화’를 달성하는 것이 이번 프로젝트의 궁극적인 목표다.
