6·3 지방선거가 20여 일 앞으로 다가온 가운데 충남 당진시장 선거판이 뜨겁게 달아오르고 있다. 

최근 실시된 여론조사 결과, 국민의힘 오성환 후보와 더불어민주당 김기재 후보의 지지율이 오차범위 내에서 접전을 벌이고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

시사뉴스가 여론조사전문업체 ㈜디오피니언에서 지난 5월 6일에서 8일까지 사흘간 충남 당진시에 거주하는 만 18세 이상 성인남녀 500명을 대상으로 실시한 당진시장 적합도 조사 결과 국민의힘 오성환 후보는 42.4%의 지지율을 보였고, 더불어민주당 김기재 후보는 36.1%의 지지율을 보였다.

이번 조사에서 흥미로운 점은 정당 지지도와 후보 지지율의 차이다.

정당 지지도의 경우 더불어민주당 38.9%, 국민의힘 37.1%의 지지율을 보였다.

당진시장 후보 선택 요인을 묻는 질문에 응답자의 절반이 넘는 50.4%가 ‘행정 경험과 성과’를 1순위로 꼽았다. 이어 도덕성(18.5%), 소속 정당(15.7%) 순으로 나타나, 이번 선거가 ‘행정 전문가’ 대결 구도로 흐를 가능성이 커졌다.

한편 이번 조사의 지역별 표본은 가 선거구 : 합덕읍, 면천면, 순성면, 우강면 80명, 나 선거구 : 대호지면, 정미면, 당진2동 92명, 다 선거구 : 송악읍, 신평면, 송산면 129명, 라 선거구 : 고대면, 석문면, 당진1동, 당진3동 199명이다.

이번 조사는 ‘시사뉴스’ 의뢰로 여론조사전문업체 ㈜디오피니언에서 5월 6일에서 8일까지 사흘간 충남 당진시에 거주하는 만 18세 이상 성인남녀 500명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 

조사방법은 유·무선 ARS전화조사,피조사자 선정방법은 유선RDD 30%, SKT(4143)·KT(4143)·LGU+(2054) 통신 3사 제공 휴대전화 가상번호 70%이며, 최종 응답률은 5%, 표본오차는 95% 신뢰수준에서 ±4.4%p이다.
