더불어민주당 장기수 천안시장 후보가 10일 오후 3시 자신의 선거사무소에서 선거대책위원회 위촉장 수여식을 거행하며, 6·3 지방선거 승리를 향한 전열 정비를 완료했다.

이날 행사는 천안 지역구 국회의원들과 당내 주요 인사들이 대거 참석해 ‘민주당 원팀’의 결속력을 확인하는 자리가 됐다. 상임선대위원장을 맡은 이정문 국회의원(충남도당위원장)을 비롯해 문진석·이재관 국회의원이 자리를 지켰으며, 구본영·김영만·이규희·최재용·한태선·황천순 등 당내 경륜을 갖춘 인사들이 공동선대위원장으로 합류해 장 후보의 당선을 위해 힘을 모으기로 했다.

특히 장 후보는 지역 국회의원들과의 유기적인 협력을 강조하며 “중앙정치와 지방행정이 엇박자를 내지 않도록 예산과 정책을 적재적소에 투입하는 유능함을 보이겠다”고 약속했다. 또한 “이재명 정부와 발맞추어 이재명처럼 추진력 있게 일하는 시장이 되어 천안의 지도를 바꾸겠다”는 포부도 덧붙였다.
