대전시사회서비스원이 6일, 전라북도 전주 일원에서 다함께돌봄센터 이용 아동과 한남대학교 대학생이 함께하는 체험 프로그램 ‘사회서비스원이랑 함께 떠나는 특별한 여행(사랑행) 시즌2’을 진행했다.

이번 행사는 아동들에게 다양한 문화·정서 경험을 제공하고, 민관학 협력을 통한 지역 돌봄·나눔 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.

행사에는 대전시다함께돌봄센터협의회(회장 김지희)의 추천을 받은 아동 40명, 한남대학교 영어영문학과 재학생 20명, 그리고 대전시사회서비스원 임직원 등이 참여해 총 80명이 뜻을 모았다.

레인보우 주식회사(대표 전문수)와 한남대학교(총장 이승철)도 후원으로 힘을 보탰다.

참가자들은 전주한지박물관과 전주한옥마을을 찾아 우리 전통문화의 가치와 역사를 배우며 현장 체험을 진행했다. 

이어 한복 입기, 한지 편지쓰기, 초코파이 만들기 등 체험 프로그램이 이어졌고, 아이들은 직접 부모에게 편지와 간식을 전하며 감사의 마음을 전했다. 

대학생들이 정성껏 준비한 간식 일부는 대전시노인복지관에 전달돼 따뜻한 나눔으로 이어졌다.

김인식 원장은 “짧은 일정이었지만 아이들이 서로 어울리며 마음껏 웃는 모습을 보며 보람을 느꼈다”며 “대학생들의 자발적 봉사정신이 현장의 온도를 높였다. 앞으로도 사회서비스원이 ‘돌봄 허브’로서 다양한 인적·물적 자원을 연결해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 대전시사회서비스원이 기획·운영하는 ‘사랑행’은 지난해 첫 여정에서 18개국 외국인과 어르신 60명이 함께 부여박물관과 계룡산 도예촌을 탐방하며 문화 교류를 이뤘다. 올해는 그 두 번째 여정을 이어가며 ‘세대·국경을 넘어 나눔으로 연결되는 돌봄 공동체’의 가치를 확산했다.

Daejeon City Social Service Center Hosts "Love Journey Season 2" in Jeonju with Children and College Students

Expanding a Local Culture of Care through Traditional Cultural Experiences and Sharing

On the 6th, the Daejeon City Social Service Center hosted "A Special Journey with Social Service Centers (Love Journey) Season 2," an experiential program for children using the Together Care Center and Hannam University students, in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province.

This event was designed to provide children with diverse cultural and emotional experiences and to promote a local culture of care and sharing through public-private-academic cooperation.

A total of 80 people participated in the event, including 40 children recommended by the Daejeon City Together Care Center Council (Chairman Kim Ji-hee), 20 students from Hannam University's Department of English Language and Literature, and Daejeon City Social Service Center staff.

Rainbow Corporation (CEO Jeon Mun-soo) and Hannam University (President Lee Seung-cheol) also provided support.

Participants visited the Jeonju Hanji Museum and Jeonju Hanok Village, where they learned about the value and history of our traditional culture and participated in hands-on experiences.

Following these experiences, the children wore hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), wrote hanji letters, and made Choco Pies. They expressed their gratitude by personally delivering letters and snacks to their parents.

Some of the snacks carefully prepared by the university students were delivered to the Daejeon Senior Welfare Center, a heartwarming event.

Director Kim In-sik stated, "It was a short trip, but it was rewarding to see the children interacting and laughing heartily." He added, "The university students' voluntary spirit of service warmed the hearts of the participants. Going forward, the Social Service Center will continue to serve as a 'care hub' by connecting diverse human and material resources."

Meanwhile, "Love Walk," planned and operated by the Daejeon Social Service Center, brought together 60 senior citizens and foreigners from 18 countries on its first trip last year, exploring the Buyeo Museum and Gyeryongsan Ceramic Village for cultural exchange. This year, the second trip continued, promoting the value of a "caring community that connects through sharing across generations and borders."
