이장우 대전시장이 2일 주재한 연말 확대간부회의에서 “공직자 모두가 한 해 동안 탁월한 역량을 발휘했다”며 성과를 돌아보고, “내년 예산과 교통 인프라 등 주요 현안을 철저히 준비해 선제적으로 대응할 것”을 주문했다.

대전시는 10월 기준 인구가 누적 2800여 명 증가하며 전국에서 세 번째로 높은 증가폭을 기록했고, 지역 경제도 눈에 띄게 성장했다. 

기술수출 13조 3천억 원, 외국인 직접투자 503% 증가한 5억 9,100만 달러, 67개 상장기업 시가총액 90조 원 달성 등 경제지표가 크게 개선됐다.

스포츠 분야에서도 한화이글스와 대전하나시티즌이 준우승을 차지했고, 전국체전에서 23년 만에 9위에 올랐다. 문화관광 분야에서는 꿈돌이 굿즈, 대전 빵 축제, 대전국제와인 엑스포 등 다양한 성과가 나타났다.

교통 인프라 현안도 속도를 내고 있다. 유성복합터미널 공정률이 90%에 이르러 올해 말 완공 예정이다. 대전~세종~청주공항 잇는 CTX 사업은 민자적격성 조사를 통과해 2028년 착공, 2034년 개통을 목표로 하고 있다.
