충남 태안에서 베트남 국적의 다문화가정이 국내로 계절근로자를 초청한 뒤 강제로 이혼을 시킨 후 장애인 가정에 여성 피해자를 거액에 넘기는 등 인신매매를 저질렀다는 충격적인 의혹이 제기됐다.

제보자인 베트남인은 한국 국적을 취득한 K씨 자매 등 A씨 일가족 2명이 동포를 돈벌이 수단으로 악용하며, 불법 인력 송출, 가라오케 업소 운영, 계절근로자 임금 착취 등 조직적으로 불법행위를 지속해왔다고 주장했다. 

현재 이들 형제 가족 4명은 국내에 체류 중인 것으로 확인됐다.

특히 이들은 노인이나 장애인을 인신매매 대상으로 삼아 다문화 혼인을 통해 신분상승을 꾀한 뒤, 남편 사망 시 재산을 가로채는 치밀한 수법을 사용한다는 추가 의혹도 나왔다. 

강제로 이혼당한 딸의 남편은 이혼에 관여한 인물들에게 "살인"을 예고하며 극심한 분노를 표했다는 전언이다.

제보자는 "이들 베트남인 가족이 한국에서 추방되지 않는다면 선량한 한국과 베트남인들이 계속 피해를 볼 것"이라며 신속한 조치를 촉구했다. 

이번 사건은 다문화 사회 내 깊이 뿌리내린 인신매매 문제와 조직적 불법행위에 대한 경각심을 높이고 있다.
