2025학년도 논산계룡 교육장배 학생 롤러경기대회가 지난달 30일 논산학생롤러경기장에서 열렸다. 이번 대회에는 관내 8개 초등학교에서 43명의 학생이 출전해 단거리부터 중거리까지 다양한 종목을 소화하며 기량을 겨뤘다.

경기 종목은 100m, 150m, 200m, 300m, 500m, 1,000m 등으로 구성돼 참가자들은 속도와 체력을 동시에 시험받았다. 경기장에는 학부모와 교사들이 함께해 열띤 응원을 펼치며 학생들의 도전을 격려했고, 현장은 축제 분위기로 가득했다.

대회 현장을 찾은 논산계룡교육지원청 박양훈 교육장은 학생들이 롤러스포츠를 통해 자기 도전과 협동심을 배우고, 이를 미래의 성장 자산으로 삼길 바란다는 뜻을 전한 것으로 알려졌다. 

지역 체육교육 전문가들 또한 이번 대회를 단순한 경기 이상의 의미로 평가하며, 스포츠 활동이 학생들의 정서 발달과 공동체 의식 함양에 긍정적인 역할을 한다고 분석했다.

이날 행사에는 충남롤러스포츠연맹 관계자와 지역 학교 교장·교감이 함께 자리해 학생들을 응원하며 대회의 의미를 더했다. 교육지원청은 이번 대회를 계기로 학생들이 스포츠를 통해 건강한 성장을 이어갈 수 있도록 지속적인 지원을 이어나갈 계획이다.
