민선 8기 충남도가 '국비 12조 원 시대'의 문을 활짝 열고 있다. 

충남도는 1일, 2026년도 정부예산안에 총 11조 9,297억 원의 국비가 반영되었다고 밝혔다. 이는 올해 최종 확보액보다 1조 36억 원(9.2%) 증가한 규모로, 지역의 미래 성장동력과 도민의 삶의 질을 높이는 데 기여할 주요 신규 사업들이 대거 포함됐다.

주요 신규 사업으로는 △총사업비 1,724억 원 규모의 아산 경찰병원 건립 설계비 30억 5천만 원 △국방미래기술연구센터 및 국방미래항공연구센터 구축을 위한 설계비 22억 2천만 원 △국가유공자와 보훈 가족의 편의를 위한 충남권 국립호국원 조성 연구용역비 2억 원 등이 있다.

또한, 서해선-경부고속선 연결, 격렬비열도 국가관리연안항 접안시설 조성, 지속가능항공유(SAF) 기술 개발 등 충남의 교통, 해양, 에너지 분야 발전을 위한 핵심 사업들도 예산안에 포함됐다.

충남도는 10월부터 국회 캠프를 운영하며 충남대 내포캠퍼스 설립, 국립치의학연구원 천안 설립 등 국회 심의 과정에서 추가 증액이 필요한 사업 확보에 총력을 기울일 방침이다.
