대전 중구가 지방자치 30주년과 제49회 구민의 날을 맞아 주민이 직접 기획하고 참여하는 축제를 성공적으로 개최했다. 지난 1일 열린 이번 행사는 단순한 기념식을 넘어 '주민주권도시 중구'의 의미를 되새기는 뜻깊은 시간이었다.

행사의 백미는 주민들이 지역 현안을 해결한 우수 사례를 발표하는 '주민자치경연대회'였다. 관내 17개 동 주민들의 열정과 창의성을 엿볼 수 있는 다양한 사례들이 소개되며 큰 호응을 얻었다.

또한, '주민자치박람회'에서는 자치협치 우수 사례 전시와 함께 지역 특산품 판매, 다양한 체험 부스가 운영되어 주민들이 직접 자치 활동을 보고 경험하는 장이 펼쳐졌다. 

이 외에도 '주민자치 제도화 방향과 과제'를 주제로 한 강연과 지역 주민들이 직접 참여하는 풍물난타, 퓨전 국악 공연 등 다채로운 프로그램이 이어졌다.
