대전 대덕구(구청장 최충규)가 산모와 영유아의 건강 증진을 위해 실질적이고 체계적인 지원에 나섰다.

구는 28일 출산 이후 산모의 회복과 영유아 발달을 돕는 ‘모유수유 특강’을 마쳤다고 밝혔다. 이번 교육은 임신부와 모유수유 중인 여성 30명이 참여했으며, 강의와 실습을 결합한 체험형 프로그램으로 진행됐다.

특강에서는 '모유수유가 아기와 산모에게 미치는 긍정적 효과', '바른 수유 자세', '유방 울혈 및 통증 완화 방법', '유축기 활용법' 등 실제 생활에서 꼭 필요한 정보가 다뤄졌다. 또한 수유 전문가가 참여자 개개인의 상황에 맞춰 1대1로 코칭을 제공해 실질적인 문제 해결을 지원했다.

교육에 참여한 한 수강생은 “올바른 수유 방법을 몰라 어려움이 많았는데, 실습을 통해 큰 도움을 얻을 수 있었다”고 소감을 전했다.

최충규 대덕구청장은 “모유수유는 아기의 건강뿐 아니라 산모의 회복에도 중요한 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 산모와 영유아를 위한 실효성 있는 프로그램을 지속적으로 마련하겠다”고 강조했다.

대덕구는 오는 11월 ‘모유수유 특강 3기’를 운영할 계획이다. 구는 이번 교육을 계기로 산모와 아이가 모두 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 맞춤형 교육과 지원을 이어갈 방침이다.
