대전시가 추진 중인 ‘대전국민안전체험관’ 건립사업의 청사진이 확정됐다. 시는 지난 8월 22일 열린 설계공모 심사위원회에서 휴안건축사사무소(대표 강기수)의 작품을 당선작으로 선정했다고 밝혔다. 이번 당선작은 향후 기본 및 실시설계에 반영돼 본격적인 사업 추진의 기초가 된다.

안전체험관은 유성구 가정동 유성도서관 부지(약 2만9천㎡)에 지하 1층, 지상 3층 규모로 들어선다. 연면적은 6,000㎡로, 총 사업비 490억 원이 투입된다. 시는 2025년 9월부터 2026년 6월까지 기본 및 실시설계를 마친 뒤 2026년 하반기에 착공해 2028년 개관을 목표로 하고 있다.
