한화그룹의 한화이글스 대전 한화생명볼파크 장애인석 불법 판매 논란과 관련해 지역 장애인 단체가 강하게 반발하고 나선 가운데, 대전시의회 황경아 부의장은 20일 오후 대전경찰청을 방문해 (가칭)대전장애인권익수호연대와 함께 한화이글스를 상대로 고발장을 접수했다.

이 자리에서 대전장애인권익수호연대(위원장 남성우)는 성명을 발표하고, 지난 19일 한화이글스 박종태 대표가 내놓은 사과문에 대해 “장애인을 시혜의 대상으로만 보는 왜곡된 인식을 드러낸 내용”이라며 강하게 규탄했다.

이어 “이 같은 조치가 실현될 때까지 한화그룹을 향한 규탄 활동을 멈추지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

황경아 부의장은 “장애인석 불법 판매는 사회적 약자의 권리를 침해하고 차별을 조장하는 중대한 문제”라며 “철저한 수사를 통해 책임 있는 조치가 이뤄져야 한다”고 말했다.

이번 사건과 관련해 경찰은 고발 내용을 검토한 뒤 사실관계 규명과 법적 책임 여부를 조사할 방침이다. 장애인 단체들은 향후 진상조사 결과와 재발 방지 대책 여부에 따라 집회, 추가 고발, 전국 단위 연대 행동도 불사하겠다는 입장을 밝혔다.
