충남 서천군의회(의장 김경제)는 1일 제5차 본회의를 끝으로 제332회 임시회 일정을 모두 종료했다. 이번 임시회는 지난 7월 28일부터 5일간 열렸으며, 조례안 심사와 동의안 처리, 주요업무 추진실적 보고 청취 등 집행부 견제와 정책 점검 기능을 집중 수행했다.

이번 본회의에서는 서천군수가 제출한 2025년도 기금운용계획 변경안이 원안대로 가결됐으며, 의원 발의 조례안 세 건도 각각 원안 가결됐다. 홍성희 의원 외 3인이 공동 발의한 '서천군의회 저연차공무원 공직 적응 및 지원에 관한 조례안'과 '서천군 저연차공무원 공직 적응 및 지원에 관한 조례안', 한경석 의원 외 3인이 발의한 '서천군 청년농업인 육성 및 지원에 관한 조례안'이 그 대상이다.

아울러 동의안과 조례 일부개정안들도 처리됐다. '서천군-서울특별시 양천구 간 자매결연 협약체결 동의안', '서천군 여성문화센터 민간위탁 동의안', '서천군 가족돌봄 지원에 관한 조례안', '서천군 공동주택관리 조례 일부개정조례안', '서천군 선택예방접종 지원에 관한 조례 일부개정조례안'은 원안대로 통과됐고, '서천군 청소년문화센터 민간위탁 동의안'은 수정 가결됐다.

서천군의회는 이번 임시회 기간 동안 2025년 상반기 주요업무 추진실적에 대한 집행부 보고를 청취하고, 정책 추진의 타당성과 실효성에 대한 질의와 점검도 병행했다. 이를 통해 지역 현안 사업에 대한 대응력과 행정 집행의 내실을 기하는 데 집중했다.

김경제 의장은 “조례 제·개정과 정책 점검을 통해 군민의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 제도적 기반을 다졌다”며 “앞으로도 실효성 있는 의정활동을 통해 주민 중심의 행정을 뒷받침하겠다”고 말했다.
