충남 공주시(시장 최원철)는 결혼이민자의 사회 정착과 자립을 지원하기 위한 취업 역량 강화 프로그램 ‘아무튼, 도전’을 지난 5월부터 7월까지 운영했다고 31일 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 결혼이주여성의 디지털 역량 향상을 목표로 한글, 엑셀, 파워포인트 등 사무기술 교육과 정보기술자격시험(ITQ) 파워포인트 자격증 취득 과정으로 구성됐다. 총 18회에 걸쳐 진행된 교육에는 116명의 수강생이 참여해 실무 중심의 수업을 이수했다.

공주시가족센터가 주관한 본 프로그램은 결혼이주여성들이 지역사회 구성원으로서 역할을 수행하는 데 필요한 정보 활용 능력을 배양하고, 실제 취업 활동에 필요한 실질적 기술 습득을 돕는 데 중점을 뒀다. 특히, 엑셀을 활용한 데이터 정리 및 분석 능력, 파워포인트를 이용한 발표자료 작성법 등 실생활과 직결된 실습 중심 교육이 이루어졌다.

박상옥 공주시가족센터장은 “이번 교육을 통해 수강생들이 디지털 기초 활용 능력을 체계적으로 익혔고, 이를 바탕으로 사회 진입 장벽을 낮출 수 있는 계기를 마련했다”며 “이주여성들이 자립적 삶을 꾸려나갈 수 있도록 앞으로도 다양한 역량강화 프로그램을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

최원철 공주시장은 “결혼이민자들이 지역에 안정적으로 정착하고 주체적인 삶을 살아갈 수 있도록 공주시가 적극적으로 뒷받침하겠다”며 “다문화 사회에 걸맞은 포용적 일자리 환경을 조성해 결혼이주여성의 사회 진출을 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 강조했다.
