대전도시공사(사장 정국영)가 최근 집중호우로 큰 피해를 입은 충남 당진시 일대에서 긴급 복구 활동에 참여하며 지역사회 재난 극복에 힘을 보탰다. 

이번 복구 작업은 대전광역시자원봉사센터(센터장 김현호)와 협력하여 진행됐으며, 공사 직원들은 침수로 피해를 입은 당진의 버섯 농가를 찾아 농작물 정리, 토사 제거, 폐기물 수거 등 복구 현장 일손을 지원했다.

대전도시공사는 지난해 대전지역 집중호우 피해 복구에 적극 나선 데 이어, 올해 4월 영남 지역 산불 피해 복구를 위해 500만 원을 기부하는 등 지역 재난과 사회 문제 해결에 지속적으로 기여해오고 있다. 

정국영 사장은 “갑작스러운 자연재해로 어려움을 겪는 주민들에게 조금이나마 도움을 줄 수 있어 다행”이라며, “앞으로도 공공기관으로서 지역과 함께하는 봉사와 나눔을 꾸준히 실천하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daejeon Urban Development Corporation Supports Recovery from Heavy Rains in Dangjin

Daejeon Urban Development Corporation (CEO Jeong Kook-young) recently participated in emergency recovery efforts in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province, which suffered significant damage from heavy rains, contributing to the community's recovery efforts.

This recovery effort was conducted in collaboration with the Daejeon Metropolitan City Volunteer Center (Director Kim Hyeon-ho). Corporation employees visited mushroom farms in Dangjin affected by flooding and assisted with crop management, soil removal, and waste collection.

Following its active participation in the recovery efforts for the Daejeon area last year, Daejeon Urban Development Corporation donated 5 million won to the Yeongnam region's wildfire recovery efforts in April of this year. The Corporation has consistently contributed to addressing local disasters and social issues.
