세종시가 행정안전부가 실시한 ‘2025년 국민안전교육 실태점검 평가’에서 우수기관으로 선정되며 시민 안전 증진의 선도 도시로 자리매김했다.

이번 평가는 전국 268개 중앙행정기관과 지방자치단체를 대상으로 이루어졌으며, 19개 핵심 정량지표와 기관장의 안전 관심도, 특색 있는 안전교육 추진 사례, 안전정책 홍보 실적 등 다양한 요소를 종합적으로 분석했다.

세종시는 안전교육 맞춤형 프로그램 개발 ,전문 강사 및 인력 양성 ,사회 전반에 걸친 안전교육 지원 등에서 혁신적인 방안을 추진해 높은 점수를 받았다. 

특히, 시민 참여의식 제고를 위한 '두 바퀴 이동수단 안전이용 강조기간' 운영, 자전거 안전 잠금 생활화와 생존수영 교육, 주기적인 안전매거진 발행 등 실생활과 연계된 다양한 시책이 인정받았다.

고성진 시민안전실장은 “이번 우수기관 선정은 시민 여러분과 함께 만들어낸 성과”라며 “앞으로도 시민이 체감할 수 있는 현장 중심의 안전교육을 더욱 확대해 안전 문화를 선도하는 세종시를 만들겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

Sejong City has established itself as a leading city in promoting citizen safety, having been selected as an "Excellent Institution" in the "2025 National Safety Education Status Inspection and Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

This evaluation, which targeted 268 central administrative agencies and local governments nationwide, comprehensively analyzed various factors, including 19 key quantitative indicators, agency heads' safety concerns, unique safety education initiatives, and safety policy promotion performance.

Sejong City received high marks for its innovative initiatives, including the development of customized safety education programs, training of professional instructors and personnel, and support for safety education across society.
