대전시가 도시철도 2호선 트램 건설 본격화에 앞서 시민과의 소통에 나섰다. 

이를 위해 대전시는 29일 동구 대전전통나래관에서 ‘트램 13·14공구 주민설명회’를 열고 오는 8월 말 실착공 예정인 두 구간의 사업 계획과 교통 혼잡 최소화 방안을 지역 주민들에게 설명했다.

이번 설명회는 트램 공사에 따른 교통 불편과 소음, 접근성 문제 등 시민들의 우려를 사전에 해소하고, 원활한 사업 추진을 위해 마련됐다. 대전시는 설명회를 통해 수소 트램의 주요 특징, 공사 개요 및 상세 일정, 단계별 추진 계획, 공사 중 시민 불편 저감 대책 등을 집중적으로 안내했다.

공사가 진행될 13공구(보문교~우송대)는 총연장 4.06km 구간으로, 정거장 5곳을 비롯해 궤도와 노반 공사가 함께 시행된다. 이 구간은 8월 말 실착공을 시작으로 2028년 6월 준공을 목표로 한다.

14공구(우송대~한국전력본부)는 총연장 2.25km에 정거장 2곳이 신설되며, 자양고개 지하화 공사가 핵심이다. 14공구는 오는 7월 31일 착공해 2027년 12월 공사 완료 예정이다.
