세종시의회 교육안전위원회(위원장 윤지성)가 10일 세종시교육청진로교육원에서 열린 ‘2025년 진로박람회 꿈꾸는대로’ 현장을 찾았다. 

이번 박람회는 7월 9일부터 11일까지 3일간 학생과 학부모를 대상으로 열리는 대규모 진로체험 행사로, 다양한 진로탐색 프로그램과 정보 공유의 장을 제공하고 있다.

교육안전위원회 위원들은 이날 ‘사람책 토크콘서트’에 학생들과 함께 참여해, 자유로운 분위기 속에서 학생들의 진로와 꿈에 대한 이야기를 경청했다. 

위원들은 학생들과 소통하며, 실제 교육 현장에서 학생들이 고민하는 진로와 미래에 대한 진솔한 목소리를 직접 들었다. 이 과정에서 위원들은 앞으로의 교육정책 수립에 참고할 수 있는 현장의 생생한 의견을 수렴했다.

박람회 현장에서는 진로체험부스, 진로상담 및 코칭, 진로진학 정보나눔, 진로이벤트, 진로직업 멘토링 등 다양한 프로그램이 운영됐다. 위원들은 직접 체험부스를 둘러보고, 체험 활동에도 참여하며 학생들의 진로탐색 과정을 함께했다. 

또한 행사 진행 교사와 상담자 등 현장 관계자들과 대화를 나누며, 학생들의 꿈을 응원하고 지원하는 교육청과 관계자들의 노고에 감사의 뜻을 전했다.

특히 교육안전위원회는 앞으로 시의회가 진로직업 멘토링 등 직접적인 프로그램에 참여해, 학생들에게 시의원의 역할과 진로성취 과정을 소개하는 방안도 적극 검토하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.

윤지성 위원장은 “한 명의 학생에게는 천 가지 이상의 미래가 열려 있다”며, “아이들이 어릴 때 품은 꿈을 실현할 수 있도록 든든한 토대를 마련하는 것이 우리 위원회의 역할”이라고 강조했다. 그는 “진로박람회가 지속적으로 확대되어, 더 많은 학생들이 자신의 꿈을 발견하고 도전할 수 있길 바란다”고 덧붙였다.

이번 현장 방문을 통해 교육안전위원회는 학생 중심의 진로교육이 더욱 활성화될 수 있도록 정책적 지원과 관심을 이어가겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다.
