국민의힘 대전 대덕구 박경호 당협위원장이 대전시당의 혁신과 변화를 위한 강한 의지를 밝히면서 차기 대전시당위원장 출마에 나섰다.

10일 오후 대전시의회 기자실에서 대전시당 위원장 출마를 공식화 한 박경호 위원장은 이날 출마 선언을 하면서 “당원 중심의 일하는 시당으로 혁신”과 “당의 단합과 민심반영 정책 구현”을 핵심 비전으로 제시했다.

출마선언에 앞서 박 위원장은 지난 1년여간 치러진 총선, 보궐선거, 대통령 선거 결과에 대해 무거운 책임감을 느낀다며, 대덕구 당협위원장으로서 시민과 당원들에게 사과의 뜻을 전했다. 

그는 “거대여당의 독주와 특검을 통한 정치보복, 그리고 내로남불의 이재명 정권에 맞서 내년 지방선거에서 반드시 승리해야 한다”고 강조했다.

박 위원장은 대전시당의 변화와 혁신을 위한 구체적인 방안도 제시했다. 

먼저 대전시당을 일하는 조직으로 혁신하겠다고 밝혔다. 

7개 당협과 당원들을 섬기는 조직으로 거듭나고, 각 지역에서 헌신하는 당협위원장과 당원들을 전폭적으로 지원하겠다는 입장이다. 박 위원장은 “군림하는 시당이 아니라, 함께 뛰는 시당으로 만들겠다”고 말했다.

이어 당의 통합과 승리를 위한 리더십을 강조했다. 

박 위원장은 다가오는 전당대회에서 당을 하나로 묶고, 민주당의 독주에 맞설 수 있는 당대표가 선출될 수 있도록 힘을 보태겠다고 약속했다. 그는 “정치생명을 걸고 당과 함께 자유민주주의 헌법질서 수호에 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.

내년 6.3 지방선거와 관련해서는 실력과 헌신이 기준이 되는 공천을 약속했다. 

박 위원장은 “인맥이나 계파가 아닌, 능력과 헌신으로 평가받는 공천 문화를 만들겠다”며, 오직 시민을 위해 봉사하고 지역 발전을 위해 노력한 이들에게 공천의 기회를 주겠다고 했다.

또한 민생경제 회복과 지역 균형발전에도 앞장서겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다. 박 위원장은 대전시장과 협력해 조차장 부지 입체화 사업, 트램·광역철도 건설 등 교통여건 개선, 첨단산업 유치와 양질의 일자리 창출 등 구체적인 지역 발전 전략을 제시했다.

아울러 시민과 당원이 함께하는 정당 문화를 만들겠다는 계획도 내놨다. 박 위원장은 정기적인 민원 청취와 시민포럼 개최, 정치대학원 과정 추가 개설 등을 통해 시민의 목소리를 정책에 반영하고, 시민과 당원이 정책과 정치를 주도하는 건강한 정치 생태계를 조성하겠다고 밝혔다.

박경호 위원장은 “국민의힘이 대전에서 다시 승리할 수 있도록 앞장서겠다”며 “이재명 정부의 실정을 날카롭게 비판하고, 실현 가능한 대안을 제시하겠다”고 말했다. 그는 “대전시당 변화의 출발점에 박경호를 세워달라”며 지지를 호소했다.
