충남 부여군(군수 박정현)과 재단법인 백제역사문화연구원은 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한 세계유산 활용 프로그램 ‘5로라 대탐험’을 성공적으로 마무리했다고 10일 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 국가유산청 공모사업으로, 부여군과 연구원이 공동 추진 중인 세계유산 활용 프로그램의 일환이다. 

참여자들은 백제역사유적지구의 역사성과 문화적 가치를 체험형 활동을 통해 생생하게 접할 수 있도록 기획됐다. 특히 세계유산이 지닌 탁월한 보편적 가치(OUV, Outstanding Universal Value)를 국내외 참가자들에게 효과적으로 전달하고자 한 점에서 주목된다.

‘5로라 대탐험’은 외국인 유학생들에게 부여의 백제유산을 직접 경험하게 한 1박 2일 일정의 집중 프로그램이다. 

이번 탐험에는 한국학중앙연구원과 건양대학교 소속 유학생들이 두 차례에 걸쳐 참여했으며, 부여 일대에 위치한 유적 탐방을 비롯해 도자기 만들기 체험, 전통 공연 ‘오악사’ 관람 등 다채로운 활동이 진행됐다. 참가자들은 역사적 현장을 오감으로 느끼며, 유적이 품은 문화적 맥락과 의미를 보다 깊이 이해하는 시간을 가졌다.

또 다른 프로그램인 ‘백제 夜(야) 마실가자!’는 여름철 야간에 진행되는 특별 행사다. 관북리 유적과 부소산성을 배경으로 유적 해설 전문가와 동행하는 역사 탐방, 충남국악단의 국악 공연, 다도 체험 등이 어우러진 이색적인 야간 문화 프로그램으로 구성되어 있다.

이 프로그램은 오는 '7월 11일, 7월 25일, 8월 8일, 8월 22일' 총 네 차례에 걸쳐 운영될 예정이며, 참가를 희망하는 이들은 (재)백제역사문화연구원 문화사업부(☎ 041-837-1722)를 통해 사전 신청이 가능하다.

부여군 관계자는 이번 세계유산 활용프로그램 사업은 세계유산에 대한 이해를 넓히는 특별한 기회가 될 것”이라며 “많은 분들의 관심과 참여를 바란다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 부여 백제역사유적지구는 유네스코가 인정한 세계유산으로, 백제 후기의 찬란한 문화유산이 집약된 대표 유적지다. 이를 바탕으로 한 지역 문화 콘텐츠 개발은 국내외 문화교류는 물론 지역 관광 활성화에도 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Chungnam Buyeo County (Governor Park Jeong-hyeon) and the Baekje History and Culture Research Institute announced on the 10th that they have successfully completed the ‘5-Ro-Ra Grand Exploration’, a world heritage utilization program for international students.

Another program, ‘Let’s Go for a Baekje Night Drink!’, is a special event held at night during the summer. It consists of a unique nighttime cultural program that combines a historical tour with a history expert, a traditional Korean music performance by the Chungnam National Music Group, and a tea ceremony experience, with the Gwanbuk-ri Relics and Busosanseong Fortress as the background.
