대전시가 시민 중심의 스마트 교통환경 구축에 한 걸음 더 나아갔다. 시는 20일, 동구 복합터미널 정류장 2개소에 최첨단 ‘스마트 승강장’을 설치하고 준공식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번에 선보인 스마트 승강장은 여름철 폭염과 겨울철 한파에도 쾌적한 대기환경을 제공할 수 있도록 냉난방기와 공기청정기를 완비했으며, 정류장을 찾는 시민들의 건강과 편의를 동시에 고려한 기후대응형 교통 인프라로 주목받고 있다.

특히 실시간으로 버스 도착 상황을 시각적으로 확인할 수 있는 ‘버스 진입 영상 표출 시스템’이 탑재돼 이용자 편의성이 크게 향상됐다. 여기에 55인치 대형 버스정보안내단말기(BIT)를 설치해 각 노선의 도착 시간과 운행 정보를 누구나 쉽게 확인할 수 있도록 구성됐다.

대전시는 이번 설치를 시작으로 올해 하반기에는 대덕구와 서구 등 주요 지역에 3개소를 추가 설치할 계획이다. 향후에는 도심 내 핵심 거점지역을 중심으로 스마트 승강장 도입을 지속 확대해 나간다는 방침이다.
