대전 유성구가 지역 내 기업들과 함께 생활 속 환경보호 실천에 나서며 ‘같이의 가치’를 실현하는 행보를 이어가고 있다. 

유성구는 단순한 캠페인을 넘어, 기업 참여형 환경정화 활동을 꾸준히 확장하면서 행정과 민간이 함께 만드는 지속가능한 도시 모델을 만들어가고 있다.

17일, 유성구는 대전녹색환경지원센터와 협력해 한국테크노돔 직장인을 대상으로 ‘폐의약품 집중 수거의 날’ 행사를 개최했다. 이번 행사는 지난 4월 체결된 ‘1회용품 저감 및 폐자원 순환 활성화’ 업무협약의 일환으로, 생활 속에서 무심코 배출되는 폐의약품의 올바른 처리와 분리배출 인식을 확산하기 위해 기획됐다.

유성구는 행사 당일뿐 아니라 이달 말인 6월 30일까지 한국테크노돔 사무실 내에 폐의약품 전용 수거함을 설치해, 직장과 가정에서 모인 폐의약품을 집중 수거하고 안전하게 소각 처리할 계획이다. 약물 오남용과 환경오염 방지라는 두 마리 토끼를 잡기 위한 실질적인 조치다.
