대전 동구가 아빠의 육아 참여를 주제로 한 이색 가족 프로그램을 선보이며 지역사회의 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.

동구는 지난 14일부터 15일까지 양일간 동구 청소년자연수련원 실내체육관에서 ‘아빠와 함께하는 신나는 플레잉데이’를 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 대전시의 ‘2025년 인구감소 및 저출생 대응 공모사업’의 일환으로 기획된 ‘파파데이’ 시리즈의 첫 번째 프로그램이다.

‘플레잉데이’는 아빠와 초등학생 자녀가 한 팀이 되어 함께 뛰고 웃으며 교감할 수 있도록 기획된 체험 중심의 놀이 행사로, 협동 게임과 릴레이 달리기, 에어바운스 체험 등으로 구성됐다. 

참여한 40가정은 운동회를 방불케 하는 역동적인 현장에서 소중한 추억을 쌓으며 뜨거운 반응을 보였다.

동구는 이번 프로그램을 통해 가정 내 돌봄의 주체로서 아빠의 역할을 조명하고, 가족 간 정서적 유대를 강화함으로써 공동육아 문화의 확산을 꾀하고 있다.

박희조 동구청장은 “아빠의 육아 참여를 응원하고 실질적인 행동으로 이어질 수 있도록, 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 마련해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.

한편, 동구는 오는 21일부터 22일까지 동일한 ‘플레잉데이’ 프로그램을 추가 운영할 계획이며, 하반기에는 ‘베이킹데이’, ‘캠핑데이’ 등 시리즈 후속 프로그램도 순차적으로 선보일 예정이다.

Daejeon Dong-gu is receiving great responses from the local community by introducing a unique family program themed on fathers’ participation in childcare.

Dong-gu announced that it successfully held ‘Exciting Play Day with Dad’ at the Dong-gu Youth Nature Training Center Indoor Gymnasium for two days from the 14th to the 15th. This event is the first program of the ‘Papa Day’ series planned as part of Daejeon City’s ‘2025 Population Decrease and Low Birth Rate Response Competition Project.’

‘Play Day’ is an experience-oriented play event designed so that fathers and elementary school children can play, laugh, and communicate together as a team, and consists of cooperative games, relay races, and air bounce experiences.
