충남 서산시가 제31회 충청남도장애인체육대회를 앞두고 선수단의 선전을 기원하는 결단식을 열며 본격적인 출전 채비를 마쳤다.

서산시는 23일 서산시민체육관에서 이완섭 시장과 서산시장애인체육회 임원진, 참가 선수단 등 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 결단식을 개최했다. 이 자리에서 선수단은 대회를 향한 의지를 다지며, 지난 대회 종합 우승에 이어 다시 한 번 영광을 재현하겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.

결단식은 후원금 전달, 선수 출전 보고, 단기 수여, 선수 대표 선서 순으로 진행됐으며, 현장 분위기는 화합과 결의를 다지는 열기로 가득했다.

이날 행사에서는 지역 사회의 따뜻한 응원이 이어졌다. 

김세민 ㈜자온건설 대표가 2000만 원, (사)충남지체장애인협회 서산시지회가 650만 원, 문신일 충남광고협회장은 200만 원의 성금, 곽중원 백운산삼 대표는 산양삼 30주(시가 약 450만 원 상당)를 기탁하며 선수단을 격려했다. 총 후원 규모는 3300만 원에 달한다.

서산시는 이번 대회에 육상, 보치아, 배드민턴, 역도 등 17개 종목에 416명의 선수를 출전시켜 대규모 선수단을 구성했다. 

이완섭 시장은 결단식에서 “출전을 위해 흘린 땀방울 하나하나가 여러분의 기량을 빛낼 것”이라며 “무엇보다 안전을 최우선으로 하면서, 그동안 갈고닦은 실력을 마음껏 발휘하길 바란다”고 응원했다.

제31회 충청남도장애인체육대회는 오는 5월 29일부터 31일까지 3일간 충남 각지 경기장에서 열리며, 도내 15개 시군 선수단이 열띤 경쟁을 펼친다. 서산시 선수단은 종합 우승을 목표로 막바지 훈련에 박차를 가하고 있다.

Seosan City, Chungcheongnam-do, has completed its full-fledged preparations for the 31st Chungcheongnam-do Disabled Sports Festival by holding a resolution ceremony to wish the team good luck.

On the 23rd, Seosan City held the resolution ceremony at Seosan Citizens’ Gymnasium with approximately 200 people in attendance, including Mayor Lee Wan-seop, Seosan City Disabled Sports Association executives, and participating athletes. The 31st Chungcheongnam-do Disabled Sports Competition will be held for three days from May 29 to 31 at stadiums throughout Chungcheongnam-do, with teams from 15 cities and counties in the province competing fiercely.
