대전광역시가 주최하고 시립교향악단과 동구청 주관으로 진행된 '찾아가는 음악회'가 대전맹학교에서 진행됐다. 

약 1시간 가량 진행된 공연에서는 '바흐, 쇼스타코비치, 모차르트' 등 클래식 명곡 뿐만 아니라, 프랑시스 레이의 '남과 여' 같은 친숙한 영화 OST도 함께 연주돼 시각장애 학생들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 

대전맹학교 문성준 교장은 "인터넷과 유튜브를 통해 언제든지 음악을 들을 수 있는 시대가 되었지만, 오히려 제대로 된 음악을 듣고 느끼는 경험은 점점 줄어들고 있다”며, “이번 찾아가는 음악회가 시각장애 학생들의 정서 함양과 음악적 감수성을 키우는 소중한 기회가 되길 바란다”는 뜻을 전했다.

The 'Visiting Concert' hosted by Daejeon Metropolitan City and organized by the City Symphony Orchestra and Dong-gu Office was held at Daejeon School for the Blind.

The performance, which lasted about an hour, featured not only classical masterpieces such as 'Bach, Shostakovich, and Mozart' but also familiar movie OSTs such as 'A Man and a Woman' by Francis Lai, which received a great response from the visually impaired students.

Daejeon School for the Blind Principal Moon Seong-jun said, "We have entered an era where we can listen to music anytime through the Internet and YouTube, but the experience of listening to and feeling proper music is gradually decreasing." He added, "I hope this visiting concert will be a valuable opportunity to cultivate the emotions and musical sensibilities of visually impaired students."
