대전시 상수도사업본부는 2025년 1분기 동안 관내 정수권역에서 수돗물 급수 과정별 수질검사를 진행한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 검사는 3월 중에 실시되며, '먹는물 수질기준 및 검사 등에 관한 규칙'에 따라 안전하고 깨끗한 수돗물 공급을 위한 분기별 점검의 일환이다.

검사는 정수장에서부터 각 가정의 수도꼭지까지의 전 과정에 걸쳐 이루어지며, 주배수지, 급수구역 유입부, 급수구역 내 가압장 유출부, 배관 말단 수도꼭지 등 총 54개 지점에서 실시된다. 주요 검사항목으로는 총대장균군과 잔류염소 등 12개 항목이 포함된다.

2024년의 급수과정별 수질검사 결과, 모든 항목이 먹는물 수질기준을 충족한 것으로 확인되었으며, 잔류염소 농도는 0.19~0.80 mg/L로 기준인 4.0 mg/L 이하에서 안정적으로 유지되고 있다. 

상수도사업본부는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 지속적인 모니터링과 체계적인 관리를 통해 안전한 수돗물 공급을 이어갈 계획이다.

박도현 본부장은 "정수장에서 수도꼭지까지 모든 과정을 철저히 관리하여 안전하고 깨끗한 수돗물을 공급하고 있다"며, "앞으로도 수질검사와 시설 관리를 철저히 하여 시민들이 안심하고 마실 수 있는 수돗물을 제공할 것"이라고 강조했다.
