대전 서구가 지난 18일 서구 일자리 창출 위원회 회의를 개최하고, 2025년 서구 일자리 대책의 세부 계획안을 심의했다고 설명했다.

서구에 따르면 이번 회의는 민선 8기 일자리 창출 종합 대책(2023~2027)의 일환으로, 변화하는 고용 환경에 맞춰 추진 전략을 구체화하고 확대하는 데 중점을 두었다.

서구는 올해 일자리 창출 목표를 9천631개로 설정하고, 이를 위해 49650백만 원의 예산을 투입할 계획이다. 

특히, 일자리의 다양성과 지속 가능성을 확보하기 위해 서구의 특화 산업을 육성하고 창업 지원, 인프라 구축, 거버넌스 강화를 통해 고용 안전망을 강화할 예정이다.

주요 추진 사업으로는 만년동 특수영상 콘텐츠 특구 조성, KT 부지 첨단 산업 집적 복합 단지 조성, 서구 일자리 혁신 네트워크 운영, 서구 창업 지원 센터 및 창업 허브 센터 운영, 청년 창업 브랜드 프로젝트 Y, 방위 산업 전문 인력 양성 사업, 서구 일자리 박람회, 그리고 62개의 직접 일자리 창출 사업 등이 포함된다.

서철모 구청장은 “일자리, 산업, 경제 정책 전반에 걸쳐 전략적인 접근을 통해 지역 특화 산업을 육성하고, 다양하고 지속 가능한 일자리를 창출하는 생태계를 조성하겠다”며, “또한 직접 일자리 창출 및 고용 서비스 제공을 통해 청년, 중장년, 고용 취약 계층의 고용 시장 진입을 지원할 것”이라고 강조했다.

한편, 2024년 서구의 일자리 창출 대책 추진 실적은 9천360개 일자리로, 46165백만 원이 집행되어 목표 대비 108.32%를 달성한 바 있다.
