서해안의 대표 관광휴양도시인 태안군이 여름 피서철 해수욕장 안전사고 제로화를 목표로 발빠른 대책을 마련하고 있다. 

태안군은 해수욕장 물놀이 안전관리를 위해 올해 해수욕장 주간 안전관리 요원 150명을 모집한다고 발표했다. 

신청은 3월 17일부터 4월 18일까지 한 달간 가능하며, 만 18세 이상 70세 이하의 신체 건강한 남녀 모두 지원할 수 있다.

안전관리 요원은 해수욕장에서 물놀이 안전사고 예방, 위험요인 제거, 안전시설물 관리, 익수자 응급구호, 해수욕장 안전관리 지도 등의 업무를 수행하게 된다. 

지원자는 관련 자격증 소지자, 최근 2년간 태안군에서 활동한 경험이 있는 자, 태안군 거주자 순으로 우선 선발된다.

근무기간은 해수욕장 개장기간인 78월 중 약 40~50일로 예정되어 있으며, 조기 또는 연장 운영이 예상되는 만리포해수욕장 등에서는 근무기간이 늘어날 수 있다. 

근무지는 태안지역 22개 해수욕장이며, 근무 시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 7시까지로 주 6일 근무한다.

신청자는 4월 18일까지 신청서와 주민등록등본을 지참해 태안군청 관광진흥과를 방문하거나 이메일 또는 팩스로 접수하면 된다. 

합격자는 4월 25일에 군 홈페이지에 게시되며 개별 통보된다. 태안군 관계자는 “안전하고 쾌적한 해수욕장 운영을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다. 모집 관련 자세한 사항은 태안군 관광진흥과 해수욕장운영팀으로 문의하면 된다.
