충남 금산군이 지역 농업‧농촌의 지속 가능한 발전을 위해 내년도 농림 분야 예산 566억 원을 신청하기로 했다. 이를 위해 지난 13일 군청 상황실에서 ‘농업‧농촌 및 식품산업 정책심의위원회’ 회의를 개최하고 총 83개 사업에 대한 심의를 진행했다.

이날 회의에는 심의위원과 관계 공무원 등 50여 명이 참석해 분야별 예산 배분과 사업의 필요성을 논의했다. 주요 예산 신청액은 ▲농정과 518억 원 ▲산림녹지과 14억 원 ▲인삼약초정책과 2억 원 ▲금산군농업기술센터 32억 원 등으로, 농업과 농촌 기반 구축 전반에 걸쳐 균형 있게 편성됐다.

심의를 거친 사업들은 충남도와 농림축산식품부의 검토를 거쳐 내년도 예산안에 반영될 예정이다.

박범인 금산군수는 “금산군은 인삼을 비롯해 국내 최고 품질의 들깻잎 등 고소득 작물 재배에 최적화된 환경을 갖추고 있다”며 “농업, 축산, 임업 등 전반적인 균형 발전을 도모하고, 필요한 정부 예산을 최대한 확보해 지역 농업과 농촌 활성화에 적극 투자하겠다”고 강조했다.

금산군은 앞으로도 경쟁력 있는 농업 정책을 추진하며 농민 소득 증대와 지역 경제 활성화를 위한 지원을 아끼지 않을 방침이다.
