충청권 국민의힘 시ㆍ도당위원장 및 시ㆍ도지사들이 13일 예산 덕산면의 스플라스 리솜에서 조찬 연석회의를 개최하고, 윤석열 대통령의 탄핵 각하를 촉구하는 결의를 다졌다.

회의에 참석한 이장우 대전시장은 “지난해 연말 정부 예산이 감액되면서 시도가 필요로 하는 주요 현안 예산이 누락됐다”며, “다수당의 일방적인 결정으로 정부 예산이 삭감된 것은 있을 수 없는 일”이라고 강하게 비판했다. 

그는 “29번의 탄핵 남발로 국정이 혼란에 빠졌고, 국회를 해산해야 한다는 목소리도 나오고 있다”고 경고했다.

이장우 시장은 “충청권의 지속 가능한 발전을 위해서는 어떠한 국정의 혼란에도 불구하고 충청권 4개 시도가 일치단결하여 힘을 모아야 한다”고 강조하며, 대전시도 이러한 노력을 함께 하겠다고 밝혔다.

이상민 대전시당위원장은 “충청의 발전과 충청인들의 권익을 위해 윤석열 대통령이 하루속히 직무에 복귀해야 한다”며, “이는 대통령 개인의 문제가 아니라, 그가 약속한 충청권의 사업들이 원활히 진행되기 위해서 필요하다”고 말했다. 

그는 또한 “지방분권이 더욱 강화되고 확충되어야 하며, 현재의 중앙집중형 국가 운영 체계를 지방 중심으로 전환해야 한다”고 주장했다.

이상민 위원장은 “충청권의 목소리를 제대로 내야 하며, 영호남으로 나뉘어진 상황에서 충청권이 중재할 수 있는 강건한 세력으로 자리잡아야 한다”고 강조했다.

회의에서는 공수처의 수사 단계부터 법원의 잘못된 절차를 지적하며, 잘못된 탄핵 절차를 비판하고 대통령 탄핵은 각하되어야 한다는 결의를 다졌다.
