충남 보령시의회가 13일, 제266회 임시회를 성공적으로 마무리했다. 이번 임시회는 지난 6일부터 8일간 진행됐으며, 조례안 심사와 주요 사업장 점검 등 활발한 의정 활동이 이루어졌다.

이번 회기에서는 총 11건의 안건이 다뤄졌다. 그중 보령시 예방접종 지원에 관한 조례 일부개정조례안 등 9건은 원안 가결됐으며, 보령시 적극행정 운영 조례 일부개정조례안 등 2건은 일부 수정 후 의결됐다. 

또한, 2025년도 상반기 주요 사업장 방문 결과 보고서 채택의 건도 함께 처리됐다.

시의회는 임시회 기간 중인 10일과 11일, 보령아산병원 소아 외래센터를 비롯한 주요 사업장 12곳을 직접 방문해 현장을 점검했다. 의원들은 사업 추진 현황을 살펴보는 한편, 개선 및 보이 필요한 사항에 대해 관계 부서에 적극적인 대응을 요청했다.

최은순 의장은 폐회사를 통해 "이번 임시회에서 논의된 안건들이 실질적인 변화를 이끌어낼 수 있도록 모두가 함께 힘을 모아야 한다"며 "보령시의회 또한 시민을 위한 책임 있는 의정활동을 이어가겠다"고 밝혔다.
