충남 태안군이 고령화 사회에 대응하기 위해 올해 역대 최대인 1000억 원 이상의 예산을 노인복지 분야에 투입한다. 

이는 지난해 957억 원에서 89억 원 증가한 금액으로, 태안군 최초의 1000억 원 돌파다. 군은 노인일자리 지원, 노인복지관 및 경로당 지원, 기초연금, 노인돌봄 서비스 등 다양한 사업에 예산을 배정했다.

올해 노인일자리 사업은 5467명에게 기회를 제공하며, 역대 최다 인원이다. 총 219억 원이 투입되며, 안전교육과 현장 모니터링을 통해 참여자의 안전을 보장할 계획이다. 

노인여가활동을 증진하기 위해 35억 원을 들여 노인복지관 3개소 운영을 지원하고, 경로당의 운영비를 변경하여 식사 제공 여건을 개선한다.

또한, 2개 경로당을 신축하고 시설 기능 보강을 추진하여 안전하고 쾌적한 환경을 조성할 예정이다. 

기초연금은 1만 6천여 명에게 매월 지급되고, 3천여 명을 대상으로 맞춤형 돌봄서비스도 실시한다.

'어르신 영양더하기 사업'과 '우리마을 참 어르신 지원 사업'을 통해 실질적인 도움이 되는 정책을 추진할 방침이다.

태안군 관계자는 “65세 이상 인구가 37.5%에 달하는 만큼, 노인 복지 정책의 중요성이 크다”며, “어르신들의 행복한 노후를 위한 다양한 시책을 지속적으로 발굴하겠다”고 강조했다.
