태안군자원봉사센터가 (재)한국중앙자원봉사센터 주관의 ‘스케일업(Scale-up) 프로젝트’ 공모에서 선정됐다. 

태안군에 따르면, 센터는 ‘2025년 새이웃 환대 프로젝트-관계안내인 멘토링 봉사’ 계획이 높은 평가를 받아 '지속가능형' 부문 공모에 선정됐다. 

이번 선정은 총 10개소 중 충남에서는 태안군자원봉사센터가 유일하며, 4년 연속 선정의 기쁨도 함께 누리게 됐다.

‘스케일업 프로젝트’는 지역 특성에 맞는 사회문제를 발굴하고 해결하는 주민주도 자원봉사를 도모하기 위한 사회문제 해결형 자원봉사 지원 사업이다. 

태안군자원봉사센터는 이번 사업을 통해 국비 1500만 원을 지원받아 이주민들의 안정적인 정착을 위한 다양한 지원 사업을 펼칠 예정이다. 구체적으로는 남면주민자치회와 연계하여 △관계안내인 멘토링 △끼리끼리 이웃끼리 △바로아는 남면투어 등을 추진할 계획이다.

센터는 이번 사업을 통해 마을 주민 모두가 자원봉사자로서 사회문제 해결에 참여할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있으며, 태안군도 적극적인 지원을 아끼지 않을 예정이다. 

군 관계자는 “앞으로 마을단위 자원봉사활동을 더욱 활성화시켜 마을 공동체가 지역사회의 다양한 문제를 직접 해결할 수 있도록 도울 계획”이라며 “행복한 태안군을 만들기 위해 주민과의 협조를 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다.
