태안군의회(의장 전재옥)는 20일 오전 제309회 임시회를 개회하며 2025년 을사년 새해 첫 임시회 일정에 돌입했다. 

이번 임시회는 2월 20일부터 28일까지 9일간 진행되며, 2025년도 업무보고 청취와 제1회 추가경정 예산안 심의, 조례안 등 총 20건의 안건을 처리할 예정이다.

업무보고 청취는 태안군이 올해 추진할 주요 사업과 정책에 대해 질의응답을 통해 발전적 대안을 제시하는 자리로, 21일부터 25일까지 27개 부서를 대상으로 진행된다.

특히 26일 조례심사특별위원회(위원장 박선의 의원)에서는 여러 조례안이 심사될 예정이며, 주요 안건으로는 태안군의회 회의규칙 일부개정규칙안, 의원 행동강령 일부개정조례안, 실종아동 예방 조례안, 자치경찰사무 지원 조례안 등이 포함된다. 총 15건의 조례안이 심사될 계획이다.

27일에는 예산결산특별위원회(위원장 신경철 의원)가 경기침체로 어려움을 겪고 있는 영세 소상공인을 위한 경영정상화 자금이 반영된 제1회 추가경정 예산안을 심의한다. 

이 자금은 연 매출 1억 4백만원 미만의 소상공인 4,449개소에 각각 50만원씩 지원될 예정이다.

개회 당일, 박용성 부의장이 대표 발의한 '벼 재배면적 조정제 철회 촉구' 결의안이 원안 가결되었다. 

이 결의문은 정부의 일방적인 벼 재배면적 조정제 추진에 대한 우려를 표명하며, 강제적 감축 정책의 즉각 철회를 촉구하는 내용을 담고 있다.

전재옥 의장은 개회사를 통해 태안군의 인구 소멸 위기를 언급하며, “지속 가능한 성장을 위해 다양한 정책을 추진해야 할 때”라고 강조했다.
