오는 3월 5일 치러지는 제1회 전국동시새마을금고 이사장 선거에서 세종지역 3곳에서는 각 1명의 후보자가 등록해 무투표 당선될 것으로 보인다.

세종시선관위가 위탁 관리하는 이번 전국 동시 새마을금고 이사장 선거에 세종지역에서는 세종‧ 웅진‧행복 새마을금고 등  3곳이다.

세종시선관위에 따르면 19일 마감 결과 세종‧웅진‧행복새마을금고 3곳 모두 후보자 수가 1명이라고 밝혔다.

관련 법령 등에 따라 향후 후보자의 선거운동이 중지되며, 해당 후보자에 대한 피선거권 조회 결과 결격사유가 없는 한 새마을금고 자체 선거관리위원회는 선거일에 해당 후보자를 당선인으로 결정하게 된다.
