대전시교육청은 지난 10일 대전 모 초등학교에서 발생한 고 김하늘 양의 사망 사건과 관련하여, 유가족이 겪고 있는 고통에 대해 무분별한 명예훼손 및 비방글 등 악성 댓글을 자제해줄 것을 강력히 호소했다.

애도 기간 중에도 불구하고 일부 악플러들은 슬픔에 빠진 유가족에게 언론 인터뷰에 대한 비난을 쏟아내어, 유가족은 정신적 고통을 호소하며 법적 대응을 예고했다. 

이러한 상황은 유가족에게 추가적인 심리적 부담을 주고 있으며, 대전교육청은 이와 같은 악성 댓글이 더 이상 확산되지 않도록 강력한 대응을 예고하고 있다.

설동호 대전시교육감은 “예상치 못한 사건으로 엄중한 책임을 느끼며 현재 힘든 시기를 겪고 있는 유가족에게 추가 피해가 발생하지 않도록 비방 글을 삼가해 주시길 강력히 호소한다.”며, “이번 희생이 헛되지 않도록 안전한 학교 환경을 만들기 위해 학교와 지역사회, 유관기관과 협력해 최선의 대책을 마련하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
