국민의힘이 국회의원 선거구 조직위원장 공모에 나선 가운데, 대전 동구 지역위원장과 대전 유성갑 조직위원장 공모에 총 3명이 등록한 것으로 알려졌다.

7일까지 진행된 조직위원장 공모 결과, 대전 동구 조직위원장 공모에는 정명국 現 대전시의원과 한현택 前 대전 동구청장이 각각 등록했다. 두 후보자는 일찍이 조직위원장 공모에 도전하겠다는 의사를 밝혔으며, 이번에 공식적으로 도전장을 내밀었다.

유성갑 조직위원장 공모에는 이상덕 대전시의회 의장 혁신자문위원이 등록한 것으로 전해졌다. 이상덕 후보자는 문화예술계에서 오랜 경력을 쌓아온 전문 예술인으로, 유성갑 지역위원회 문화예술분과위원장을 맡고 있다.

한편, 유성갑 지역위원장에 도전할 것으로 알려졌던 장호종 前 대전시 경제과학부시장은 이번 공모에 등록하지 않은 것으로 확인됐다.

이번 공모에 대한 지역 정치권의 관심이 집중되고 있으며, 최종 결과에 귀추가 주목된다.
