충남소방본부는 20일 119종합상황실과 119특수대응단에서 근무하는 소방대원들에게 하트세이버와 라이프세이버를 각각 수여하며 그들의 헌신을 치하했다.

하트세이버는 심정지 또는 호흡정지로 위급한 상황에 놓인 응급환자를 구한 대원들에게 주어지는 표창으로, 심폐소생술(CPR) 등을 통해 생명을 살린 공로를 인정받은 이들에게 수여된다. 라이프세이버는 재난 현장에서 개인의 위험을 감수하며 소중한 생명을 구한 구조대원을 격려하는 제도다.

이번 행사에서는 천안, 아산 등 도내 여러 지역에서 발생한 심정지 환자를 구조하기 위해 신속한 지령을 내리고 정확한 심폐소생술을 지도한 최오환 소방위, 조남권 소방장, 정혜영 소방장, 김재흥 소방장, 안종길 소방교, 최민구 소방교 등 6명이 하트세이버를 수상했다. 이들은 지난해 하반기 발생한 다수의 응급상황에서 뛰어난 대처 능력을 발휘해 환자들의 생명을 구하는 데 크게 기여했다.

또한 지난해 10월 금산군 대둔산 칠성봉 인근에서 발생한 구조 활동에 참여한 김정국 119특수대응단 소방위를 비롯해 박성용 소방장, 김호섭 소방장, 정철호 소방교, 임장군 소방교, 정의종 소방교, 류완석 소방교 등 7명에게는 라이프세이버가 수여됐다. 이들은 100m 절벽 아래로 추락한 구조대상자를 구하기 위해 6시간 동안 이어진 고난도 구조 작업을 성공적으로 수행하며 귀중한 생명을 구해냈다.

권혁민 충남소방본부장은 “소방대원 한 명 한 명의 헌신과 노력이 없었다면 이 같은 성과를 거둘 수 없었을 것”이라며, “앞으로도 도민의 생명과 안전을 지키기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 충남소방본부는 이번 표창을 계기로 소방대원들의 사기를 진작시키고, 생명 구조 활동의 중요성을 다시 한번 강조했다.
