더불어민주당 세종시당(위원장 강준현)이 1월 16일 오후 6시 라고바움호텔 다목적실에서 세종시당 여성위원회(위원장 김현옥)의 사업계획 발표 및 강연회를 개최하며 본격적인 활동에 나섰다.

이날 행사에는 이춘희 상임고문을 비롯한 고문단, 김재형 의원, 이순열 의원, 이현정 의원, 여미전 의원, 각급 위원회 위원장 등 70여 명이 참석하여 자리를 빛냈다. 이춘희 상임고문은 축사에서 현재의 어려운 상황 속에서도 더 나은 미래를 향해 나아가는 과정에서 여성의 역할이 중요하다고 강조하며, 여성위원회가 중추적인 역할을 해줄 것을 당부했다.

행사는 김현옥 여성위원장의 인사말로 시작되었으며, 이어서 2025년 여성위원회의 주요 활동 계획 발표와 ‘민주당에 바란다’라는 주제로 자유발언이 이어졌다. 

또한, 한국영상대 강해정 교수의 특별 강연 ‘여성 정치인으로 성장할 수 있는 나의 강점 찾기’도 진행되었다.

김현옥 여성위원장은 “우리는 민주주의 회복의 탄력성을 다시 한번 확인했으며, 엄중한 시기일수록 새로운 다짐으로 세종시당 여성위원회가 출범했다”며, “더 강하고, 더 평등한 대한민국 민주주의를 위해 당원들을 결집하고 확장하는 데 앞장서겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

세종시당 여성위원회는 이날 발표를 시작으로 여성 리더로서 필요한 인문소양 교육, 취약계층 지원 봉사, 지역 NGO 단체와의 교류 등 다양한 프로그램을 단계적으로 추진하여 여성의 참여를 확대할 계획이다.

On January 16th at 6 PM, the Sejong City Party of the Democratic Party of Korea (Chairperson Kang Jun-hyun) held a presentation and lecture of the business plan of the Sejong City Party Women’s Committee (Chairperson Kim Hyun-ok) at the multipurpose room of the Lagobaum Hotel, and began its full-fledged activities.

On this day, around 70 people including Standing Advisor Lee Chun-hee, advisory board members, Assemblymen Kim Jae-hyung, Lee Soon-yeol, Lee Hyun-jung, Yeo Mi-jeon, and committee chairs at all levels attended the event, lighting up the event. Starting with the announcement on this day, the Sejong City Party Women’s Committee plans to gradually promote various programs, such as humanities education necessary for female leaders, volunteer work to support vulnerable groups, and exchanges with local NGOs, in order to expand women’s participation.
