대전시교육청이 2025년 교육복지우선지원사업의 기본계획을 수립하고, 중점학교 61교 및 약 580개의 희망교실을 대상으로 취약계층 학생을 위한 맞춤형 통합지원을 강화한다고 밝혔다.

이번 계획에 따라 교육복지사가 배치된 중점학교에서는 교내에서 운영되는 사례관리협의회를 통해 취약계층 학생을 신속하게 발굴하고, 개인 맞춤형 통합지원을 집중적으로 제공할 예정이다. 

특히, 대전서부초등학교와 진잠초등학교가 신규 중점학교로 지정되어, 이들 학교에 대한 교육복지 서비스가 더욱 강화될 계획이다.

교육복지사가 배치되지 않은 학교들에 대해서는 교육복지안전망을 구축하여 지원할 예정이다. 이 안전망의 일환으로, 선생님과 함께하는 사제멘토링 프로그램인 희망교실이 운영되며, 올해는 전년 대비 50여 교실이 추가되어 총 약 580교실에서 학습, 체험, 정서, 복지 영역의 멘토링 활동이 이루어질 예정이다.

또한, 교육복지특성화 사업으로 긴급위기지원 프로그램인 「꿈이룸사제행복동행」과 지역사회 자원 연계 프로그램인 나비프로젝트를 통해 지역사회의 협력을 바탕으로 취약계층 학생 지원을 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.

대전시교육청은 사업의 내실 있는 운영을 위해 ‘2025년 교육복지우선지원사업 운영매뉴얼’을 발간하여 중점학교에 배부하고, 17일과 20일에는 기본계획 설명회를 개최하여 체계적인 학생 관리에 박차를 가할 예정이다.
