충남도가 내년 정부예산안이 국회를 통과함에 따라, 올해보다 7131억 원(7%) 증가한 10조 9261억 원의 국비를 확보했다고 11일 밝혔다.

주요 국비 확보 성과를 살펴보면, ‘힘차게 성장하는 경제’ 분야에서 무기발광 디스플레이 기술 개발 및 생태계 구축에 180억 원, 바이오 의료기기 해외 진출 지원을 위한 제로트러스트에 10억 원, 2024년 글로컬 대학(건양대) 지원에 200억 원, 장항선 개량에 519억 원, 고남-창기 도로 건설에 207억 원이 포함되어 도내 교통 기반을 확충할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

‘지역이 주도하는 발전’ 분야에서는 태안국제원예치유박람회 개최를 위한 15억 원, 한국폴리텍대 해양수산캠퍼스 건립에 20억 원, 복합해양레저관광도시 조성에 20억 원이 반영되어 서해안 해양 자원을 활용한 관광 및 신산업 육성, 농어업 미래 성장 지원 등 지역 특색을 살린 균형발전 사업에 중점을 두었다.
