대전시사회서비스원(원장 김인식)은 9일 대전 동구 호텔선샤인에서 시민 참여 사업인 ‘2024 대전을 바꾸는 시간’을 개최했다. 

이번 행사는 대전 지역 사회서비스 활성화를 위해 기획된 사업으로, 10월 7일부터 11월 24일까지 대전형 사회서비스 발전을 위한 사례를 모집했다.

모집된 사례는 11월 28일부터 12월 1일까지 시민을 대상으로 온라인 투표를 진행하였으며, 이후 심사를 통해 9일 우수사례에 대한 시상이 이루어졌다. 

이번 행사는 대전시와 대전시사회서비스원이 공동 주최하였으며, 사회서비스 우수사례 공모 기관 및 대전 82개 동 지역사회보장협의체 관계자들이 참석하여 진행됐다. 

행사는 각 동별 우수사례를 공유하는 시간을 통해 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 복지 생태계 구축과 실천 가능하고 효과적인 대응 방안에 대한 깊이 있는 교류가 이루어졌다. 

행사에는 이장우 대전시장, 조원휘 대전시의장, 박희조 동구청장, 김제선 중구청장, 최충규 대덕구청장 등 지역 주요 인사와 사회서비스 기관 및 지역사회보장협의체 관계자, 공무원, 시민 등 400여 명이 참석했다.

행사의 첫 순서로 유공자 표창이 진행되었으며, 복지 사각지대 해소 및 돌봄 체계 활성화에 헌신한 21명에게 시장상이 수여되었다.

최우수상은 ‘일상이 양성 평등한 대전 대덕구 만들기’(황순천 대덕구청 가족친화과 지방행정서기보)와 ‘나에게 다가온 봄날: 세상에 밝은 소리를 선물해 준 통합상담실’(윤태승 대덕구노인종합복지관 제2분관 북부노인복지관 사회복지사)이 수상하였다.

또한, 대전시 지역사회보장협의체의 우수사례 홍보영상을 통해 지역 사회보장 증진을 위한 위기가정 발굴 및 지원 활동에 대한 이해를 높였다. 

이어서 최근 사회적 고립이 심각한 문제로 대두되는 상황에 맞춰 김석중 유품 관리사를 초청하여 사회적 고립 예방 방안에 대해 배우는 시간을 가졌다. 

이장우 시장은 “앞으로도 지역복지 문제 해결을 위해 사회서비스 기관과 지역사회보장협의체가 앞장서 복지 사각지대가 없는 대전이 되길 바란다”고 전했다. 

김인식 원장은 “오늘 행사를 통해 한 해의 성과를 돌아보고 격려하는 자리를 넘어 앞으로 대전형 사회서비스가 나아갈 방향을 모색하는 시간이 되었길 바란다”며 “민·관의 협력을 통해 시민이 행복한 일류 복지도시 대전을 위해 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
