공동주택 지하주차장 전기차 충전시설에 대한 위험성이 제기되면서 이에 대한 특단의 대책이 필요하다는 지적이 나오고 있는 가운데, 대전 서구가 9일부터 24일까지 관내 전기자동차 충전시설이 설치된 공동주택 지하주차장을 대상으로 화재 안전 점검을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 공동주택 전기자동차 충전 구역에서 발생할 수 있는 화재 사고를 예방하기 위해 실시되며, 의무관리대상 공동주택 단지의 전기차 충전시설에 대해 자체 점검을 진행한다. 

특히, 96개 공동주택 단지의 주차구역 내 가연성 물건 적치 등 전기자동차 충전시설 주변을 현장 점검할 계획이다.

점검 결과 일시적이거나 경미한 지적 사항에 대해서는 현장에서 즉시 시정 조치가 이루어지며, 불법 시설물 설치 및 반복적인 물건 적치 등 주차장 기능을 미유지하는 행위에 대해서는 철거 등 원상회복 조치를 요구할 예정이다.

서철모 청장은 “공동주택 지하 주차장 전기차 충전시설 주변의 안전 점검을 통해 입주민들의 화재 안전 의식을 높이는 계기가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다. 

이번 점검을 통해 서구는 주민들의 안전을 확보하고, 전기차 충전시설의 안전성을 강화하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
