대전광역시시설관리공단은 9일 대전시 산하 공사·공단 중 최초로 역전지하상가(대전역~목척교)에 공간안전인증을 획득했다고 밝혔다.

공간안전인증은 한국안전인증원이 주관하는 소방 안전관리 평가 제도로, 사업장의 화재 및 소방관리 능력을 안전경영, 건축방재, 소방안전, 설비안전, 설비성능시험, 신기술 및 설비개선 등 4가지 측면에서 평가한다. 

인증 절차는 소방청이 감독하며, 인증을 받은 사업장은 2년간 화재안전조사와 종합정밀점검을 면제받을 수 있다.

역전지하상가는 현장심사를 통해 보완사항을 적극적으로 개선하여 안전경영 의지를 피력했으며, 특히 정전 매뉴얼 구비 등 비상대비 측면에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

이상태 이사장은 “이번 역전지하상가 공간안전인증 획득은 시민의 안전을 최우선으로 생각하며 노력해온 결과”라며, “앞으로도 시설관리와 안전 관리 강화를 통해 누구나 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 환경을 조성하겠다”고 말했다.
