충남 서산시는 지난 7일 약 700여 명의 보육교직원과 시민이 참여한 '서산시어린이집연합회 주최 '사랑과 희망을 나누는 자선바자회' 가 시청 앞 솔빛공원에서 개최됐다고 밝혔다. 

이번 바자회는 관내 가정위탁아동, 소년·소녀 가장 등을 돕기 위한 취지로 진행됐으며 먹거리 부스와 농산물 판매장, 아나바다 부스를 비롯해 다양한 체험활동 부스들도 함께 운영됐다. 

행사가 종료된 후에는 이완섭 서산시장과 박정희 서산시어린이집연합회 회장 등 관계자가 참석한 가운데 바자회를 통해 마련된 판매 수익금 300만 원에 대한 기탁식이 진행됐다.    

서산시에 따르면 이번에 전달된 수익금 전액은 '어려운 아동'의 자립을 돕기 위해 충남 사회복지공동모금회에 지정 기탁될 예정이다.

박정희 서산시어린이집연합회 회장은 "사랑과 희망을 나누는 자선바자회에 참여해 주신 모든 분께 감사드린다"라며 "서산시 보육교직원과 시민들이 십시일반 모은 사랑의 마음이 우리 지역 어려운 아동들에게 잘 전달되었으면 좋겠다"라고 말했다.

이완섭 서산시장은 "어려운 여건 속에서도 지역사회 이웃들을 먼저 생각해 귀한 성금을 마련해주신 서산시어린이집연합회에 깊은 감사를 드린다"라며 "아이 키우기 좋은 서산을 만들기 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다"라고 말했다.
