대전 유성구 교촌동 일대에 조성될 '나노·반도체 국가산업단지'가 예비타당성 조사 대상으로 확정됐다. 

기획재정부는 6일 한국개발연구원(KDI)의 심사를 통해 이 산업단지가 예비타당성조사 대상사업으로 선정되었음을 발표했다. 이는 대전 최대 국가산업단지 조성을 위한 중요한 첫걸음으로 평가된다.

대전시는 사업시행자인 한국토지주택공사(LH)와 협력하여 올해 안에 예비타당성조사를 의뢰할 계획이다. 

이후 2026년까지 국토교통부의 국가산업단지계획 승인 절차를 거쳐, 2027년부터 보상에 착수할 예정이다.

'나노·반도체 국가산업단지'는 대전의 핵심 전략 산업인 나노·반도체 및 우주항공 산업을 중심으로, 대덕연구개발특구의 첨단 연구개발 기술과 인프라를 활용하여 핵심 산업을 육성하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 

이 산업단지의 조성으로 인해 약 9,700억 원의 생산 유발 효과, 4,000억 원의 부가가치 유발 효과, 7,000억 원의 취업 유발 효과 등 상당한 경제적 파급 효과가 예상된다.

이장우 대전시장은 “대전의 미래 먹거리인 첨단 산업 육성을 위한 발판이 될 나노·반도체 국가산업단지가 성공적으로 추진될 수 있도록 국토교통부와 한국토지주택공사와 함께 모든 행정력을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, LH는 2023년 12월부터 대전시 및 대전도시공사와 기본협약을 체결하고, 국가산업단지 조성을 위한 '기본계획 수립 및 타당성 조사 용역'을 시행해 왔다. 

이들은 입주 기업 수요 조사 및 사업성 검증을 완료하고, 2024년 11월 기획재정부에 예비타당성조사 대상사업 선정을 신청한 바 있다.
