청양군(군수 김돈곤)이 지난 5일 ‘2024 충남 농촌 대상’에서 3관왕을 달성했다고 6일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 충청남도가 주최하고 충남경제진흥원이 주관했으며, 부여군 소재 롯데리조트에서 진행됐다. 

전형식 도 정무부지사 등 도시군 관계자 등 250여 명이 참석한 이날 시상식에서 청양군은 지역활성화재단 마을공동체지원센터 심수진 과장이 도지사 표창을, 강훈 주임이 경제진흥원장 표창을 받았다.

이어 시군 우수사례 발표에서 청양군 읍면 순회 마을만들기 대화 마당, ‘주민 스스로 말하게 하라’는 주제가 최우수상에 선정되며, 농촌 활성화의 강소도시임을 재입증했다. 

충남농촌대상은 충남 농촌·마을만들기 성과를 공유하고 농촌마을 활성화에 기여한 공무원, 중간지원조직, 마을리더들의 공로를 포상하는 자리로, 이날 시상식에서는 ▲충남도지사표창 12명, ▲충청남도경제진흥원장표창 8명, ▲충남마을만들기협의회 이사장표창 5명 등 총 25명이 수상의 기쁨을 안았다.

청양군 부군수인 윤여권 재단법인 청양군지역활성화재단 이사장은 “청양군이 그동안 추진한 사업과 활동들로 주민이 살기 좋은 희망의 마을을 만들어가고 있다”며 “앞으로도 주민이 행복하고 살맛 나는 작은 변화를 만들어갈 수 있도록 묵묵히 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 이날 행사에서는 충남도 광역 및 14개 시·군 센터에서 각각 특색있는 홍보부스를 운영했으며 청양군도 마을조사단 개요와 활동, 조사단 조끼, 영상자료 등 조사 결과물을 함께 공유해 눈길을 끌었다.
